Check out the new Blackberry, which some people say will be called series 9000 (to the right of the pic).
It has an all new revamped browser too, and apparently lots of improvements.
Keypad is similar to the black 8800s, unlike the Pearl which has raised buttons.

I Want To Believe
You know, my love for Star Wars, Star Trek, X Files and all things SciFi was not because of high tech special effects and giant monsters. I think deep down inside, i have a feeling that we just cant be alone in the universe. Millions of star systems, billions of planets, and we're the only people living in it???
I've always had this fascination with aliens and their technology, what would they look like? what kind of technology do they use? are they here among us and the government is covering it up?
The problem with video and picture "evidence" of UFO and alien sightings is that...technology is so sophisticated these days, you just cant be sure that what you're seeing is real.
Movies like Independence Day and Jurassic Park made your eyes think that aliens and dinosaurs could be among us, whose to say that someone didn't take that technology and use it to make "evidence"?
A year ago, people in San Diego recorded footage of what seemed like UFOs hovering over the city. It was on Fox News even, check it out.
This one was taken at a very recent sighting at O'Harre Airport in Chicago. More than 15 airport staff members saw the object, which hovered then vanished into a black hole (see top right of pic)
The second video shows a supposed "actual alien interview", video footage that was smuggled out of Area 51 where spaceships and aliens are being held by the US government. This caused many people to debate the authenticity of the footage, a couple of special effects artists have been added their comments about it in the news.
Is it real?...i guess thats for you to judge. If you noticed, the media and government reaction to these things have always been the same, "weather phenomenon" - "weather balloon" - "jet test flight" - etc2.
Do i think its real?...well...i dont know if these footage and pics are real...but i'll always dream about life beyond the stars...
Here Kitty-Kitty
First off let me say that, this is real. This is not an April Fools joke (by that account, it aint April 1st neither).

A President Like My Father
If you've been reading the site you'd pretty much know i support Barack Obama. I think his ability to inspire hope in people is just amazing. So i'm sorry if you'll find no coverage whatsoever of Hilary, and of my many one sided articles on America's Next President hehehe.
Obama has been under fire lately for not being able to beat Hilary Clinton comprehensively and collect the Democratic nomination, which was again illustrated by his recent loss in Pennsylvania. Tuesday's tracking polls in Indiana by CNN shows the two candidates deadlocked, which means that there is not going to be a clear cut winner by the Democratic Convention.
Man, just look at that poll...and if you take into account margin of error?...they could be even closer...It all falls to the superdelegates now.
I wanna draw attention again to Carolyn Kennedy's recently posted support of Obama on the New York Times called "A President Like My Father", to remind ourselves why change is sometimes needed and what ideals we should look for in our leaders.
"OVER the years, I’ve been deeply moved by the people who’ve told me they wished they could feel inspired and hopeful about America the way people did when my father was president. This sense is even more profound today. That is why I am supporting a presidential candidate in the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama"Carolyn, being the daugther of JFK, knows exactly what leadership qualities we need having seen it first hand. She believes that America is at a tipping point, and believes that Obama will bring that change and breath of fresh air that the country badly needs.
"Sometimes it takes a while to recognize that someone has a special ability to get us to believe in ourselves, to tie that belief to our highest ideals and imagine that together we can do great things. In those rare moments, when such a person comes along, we need to put aside our plans and reach for what we know is possible"Check out the article here to read the rest of it.

Zookeeper Attacked By Lions
For some reason i've been finding some stuff over at Youtube a lot, but this one i gotta post. A zookeeper at the Wellington Zoo in New Zealand was trying to feed some lions when they attacked him. Fortunately 10 minutes later other keepers were there to save him, but he's no longer a zookeeper (i wonder why).
Damn, those two lions were really going for it.
Umm...Dad....Is That Part Of The Attraction?

Damn Spicy
Just had lunch at a Manadonese restaurant called Beautika. I'm starting to regret it hehehe. Everything came out in bowls and were all multicoloured, theres green, red, yellow and all sorts of stuff. From what i gathered it was mostly fish, but there was one meat dish and perkedel jagung too.
Manado food are spicy man, we were all sweating like mad in there hahahha

Some Indiana Jones Pics
Got some nice pics of the upcoming Indiana Jones movie, The Kingdom Of Crystall Skull. I loved the first one, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and have watched it again and again obsessively. I love all three of them, but the first one just hits the spot.
I cant wait to see this one, Spielberg apparently has limited the amount of CGI on screen, preferring to use practical effects more cause they look better on screen.

Check out Darkhorizons for a plot synopsis and more pics.

The Forbidden Kingdom
i went and saw this on the weekend, and it charmed the pants out of me. if youre looking for plain good fun, this is the one to see. otherwise, go see Streetkings or something.
the first movie to actually pair screen gods Jackie Chan and Jet Li is actually pretty entertaining. look, youre not getting Shakespeare here ok, so just turn off the expectations at the door, grab a box of popcorn and enjoy.
you can get the story and info on the cast members at the official website here.
i loved the interplay between the silent monk (Jet Li) and the drunken master (Jackie Chan), they play off each other so well, not only during excellent fight scenes but in the comedic situations as well. Their fight scene at the deserted temple was just amazing! i was on the edge of my seat (to the embarasment of my gf), i cant believe these guys are pushing 50 years old.
i heard that Jackie and Jet fight so well with each other, it only takes 2-3 takes for them to complete complicated fight scenes.
Glow In The Dark Tour
Theres a sick tour going on in the states right now called Glow In The Dark, featuring a killer line up of Kanye West, N.E.R.D, Rihanna and Lupe Fiasco. Damn thats hot! can you imagine seeing all those people under one roof???
The theme of the concerts is futuristic, check out some of the pics below.

Skateboard P leading the charge.
All of the reviews regarding the concert has been unanimously great, though there was one mess up.
As a gesture to the city that they visit, Kanye usually insert the citys name in the lyrics of the song "Good Life". During one stop, he yelled out "It feels like Seattle! Seattle! Seattle!"...except they were in Sacramento.
hahahahahhahaahah
Newcastle 2 - 0 Sunderland
Wow, what a season it has been. It started brightly with new manager Sam Allardyce (left) in charge, then we hit a bad patch, and he got fired in the middle of the season.
Enter the return of Kevin Keegan (bottom right).
The man that brought Newcastle to winning ways and Alan Shearer returned, everyone's thinking "could we return to the glory days of old?"
i'll be the first to say that its waaaaay too early to start thinking we're going back to the Champions league and the top 4 of the Premiership, but our form of late (unbeatable in 6 games) have given me some hope that next season will not be a total loss for us and could even be a platform to build upon.
First things first, we need to sign Michael Owen on a long term contract. I know this guy only came to Newcastle for the money, and that he's been injured for the past two years, and hes only interested in playing for england and not for us. But he's exactly the sort of striker we need.
And i think Keegan has managed to motivate him to play for Newcastle, hence his 17 something goals in this season.
Just this once, i'm going to keep my fingers crossed.
Bring on West Ham this saturday!

iPod Government
When Barack Obama uttered the word “iPod government”, everyone instantly knew what he said.
The word has become the symbol for stripping away complex rules, regulations and formulas and getting back to basic. Make it simple for the people. Make it easier for people to choose. No need for nonsensical babbles and technical words.
Is the world finally catching up to his thinking?
PS3/Xbox vs. Wii
Who would have thought that a simple gaming machine that looks funny, has you using a stick instead of an old fashioned controller, and no “cool” games like Halo or Metal Gear Solid, can actually beat the s**t out of the almighty PS3/Xbox combination?
Anyone that actually put their hands up will get a sandal thrown at them (POW! MY EYE! MY EYE!)
The Wii is the very symbol of simplicity, Nintendo itself stated that the machine is aimed at the general public and not the usual hardcore gamers (which is the target audience of the PS3/Xbox combo).
To this date, the Wii has outsold both of its competitors in the US, Europe and Japanese market, with analysts expecting Nintendo to ship 17.8 billion units this fiscal year.
Its cheap(er) + fun for the whole family = whats a PS3 again?
High tech camcorders vs. Flip
In a market dominated by giants like Casio, Sanyo, Panasonic, and high tech features like Bluetooth transfer, thousands in storage capacity and others, a little engine that could sneaked in and stole the show.
Enter the Flip. Oprah's and Ellen's favorite new toy. And 1 million americans.
Its a hit in the US and made a big name for its manufacturing company Pure Digital Technologies.
Whats next?Who knows whats next, but it seems the world is yearning for something simpler nowadays.
Shout out to Obama! come on Pensylvania! vote for Change That You Can Believe In!
iPhone vs. Blackberry

For most people its divided into two camps, iPhones or Blackberrys. Theres no such thing as in between. The rest of the world can use generic phones from swedish houses like Nokia, Ericsson and others.
Check out this iPhone vs. Blackberry: Two Week Comparison article for an interesting read about which phone the reviewer felt was best suited for him (SPOILER: its the Blackberry)
I've had a Nokia E61i for while now, and the thing is close to perfect if it wasnt so damn slow all the time. It handles sms, calendars and contacts like it was born to do so, and thats why i stuck by it for the longest time. Now that its getting a bit old, i'm thinking its time that i probably trade it in for something else.
I guess you gotta choose based on your needs, and i dont really store that much music or need to browse the internet that much, so the Blackberry is probably more suited for me than the iPhone.
Hey, maybe ill buy 'em both hehehe
Hi Monday
Back from a hectic weekend which turned out to be more tiring than relaxing hahaha, in a good way.
Last Friday i had a celebratory BBQ for a joint birthday, Saturday i had a family dinner with it seems everyone related (which in my family, is a lot), and Sunday i had a baby shower for my 7 month pregnant cousin Shalimar (that for some reason involved beer games, don't ask me why).
So i wasnt really looking forward to Monday, but since i cant stop the earth from rotating every 24 hours, here we are.

Obama Loves His Jay Z

The New Teana
Here's a preview of the next model Nissan Teana, a very popular car in Indonesia and i've seen it everywhere. Dont know how i feel about this new design, since i think the old one is pretty excellent, this one looks almost like a Lexus/New Accord crossbreed. Plus, the interior is actually quite cramped, hopefully they'll fix that problem when it comes out.
would you spend your money on this or the Accord? Camry? Mazda 6? you be the judge

iPhone & Nano Dont Wanna Be Left Behind
Yesterday i posted about the multicolour Mac laptops, apparently the iPhone and Nano don't wanna be left behind by their big brothers.

i love goooooldddddd!!!!! (no i dont really like gold, i was referencing Austin Powers, dummy). Interesting choice of colour, guess they're trying to appeal to the bling lovers out there. I'm not so much into bling, but gold is pretty special and one of a kind.
Love this little Nano gold.
aint that cool??? shows how much money you got heheheh thats a wicked Nano. Check out Computer Choppers for more pics, they also have a 24 karat and diamond encrusted Mac laptops....i know....wonders never cease....maybe the Sultan of Brunei would get one?

Boring Black & White
A company called Colorware can provide customized paintings for your favorite laptops, phones, MP3 players of even portable games machines like PSP/Nintendo DS. So forget about your boring black/white/or silver colours! with an additional US$500 you can have it in any colour you want.
A bit expensive if you ask me, but if you can afford it its worth having one of a kind laptops. People are gonna be like, "whoaaaaa, where did you get it man?!", hehehe. That yellow Macbook Air kicks ass, man!

Order one at Colorware.
Some Hulk Art
Take a look at some nice Hulk art drawn by Dale Keown, who launched his career in the late 90s when he drew the comic series with story by Peter David. I remember he left Marvel for a while, then got sick or something, but i'm glad that hes back drawing. Dale specializes in drawing monsters hehehe big musclebound meatheads with huge upper bodies and veins.

He also created the character Pitt for Image comics, a crossbreed alien bounty hunter with a kid sidekick. Check out his website for more images.

The New Incredible Hulk Poster
Here's the new official poster for the new Incredible Hulk movie, which is coming out this summer and is on my highly anticipated list of movies to watch. I dont care what people say, i loved the tv version with its cheesy action and green make up, it had real stories and cool concept of Bruce Banner being a fugitive.
I heard that this movie takes the concept as well, and completely ignoring the Ang Lee version. Y'all know i love my superheroes, the big green monster is the absolute personification of anger, so maybe i got anger issues!
Aint it kinda similar to the cover of this Spiderman comic???
Pretty cool nonetheless.

Worthy Successor To My Beat Up Computer
I love Mac products, i think their balance between design and usability is just right. Now that my computer keeps messing up on me with continuous errors and sudden stops, i'm tempted in upgrading to a new computer hehehe i wish!
But if i were to get one, i'd probably get the Macbook Pro. The silver finish and Core2Duo chip is a deadly combination, plus it has the new Mac OS - Leopard.

Maybe i should just throw my computer out the window???

Cloverfield Alternate Ending
I thought Cloverfield was pretty clever, taking the usual monster movie mayhem and putting a fresh spin on it by having the street level perspective. Sort of like Godzilla meets Blair Witch. It wasnt perfect, but i had a really good time watching it.
I understood its need to have the camera that shaky, but sometimes it was a bit much, i actually saw some people leave cause they got motion sickness. Anyway, the DVD release of Cloverfield has two alternate endings for the movie, one of which even indicated that they were rescued.

The Nature Of Movies
I love this quote by James Cameron (Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 1&2, etc):
"I believe that Godard got it exactly backwards. Cinema is not truth 24 times a second, it is lies 24 times a second. Actors are pretending to be people they're not, in situations and settings which are completely illusory. Day for night, dry for wet, Vancouver for New York, potato shavings for snow. The building is a thin-walled set, the sunlight is a xenon, and the traffic noise is supplied by the sound designers" - James Cameron
Wacky Drinks
Gotta love those wacky japannese people. You know in japan, beverage is a US$30 billion a year industry, but it's so segmented that they have to keep producing limited edition drinks so they can grab that niche market.
Grapefruit beer anyone?
Beer for the elderly
Milk beer...i know...sooo weird
This is the one im most curious about. Check them out here for more wacky drinks.

Best Piece Of Thrash You Can Buy
Even though it cost US7000 upwards, even though it doesnt have even have a camera, even though you can only make calls and send SMS and nothing else, I'll still buy it if i can!
Its the Vertu Constallation, and damn its a good lookin' phone. If i have one, i'll have to stand if front of lots of people and talk really loud so i can show off hehehehe
Seasons Of Love
I was watching the latest season of American Idol, they're doing the charity episode right now. They did a pretty good rendition of "Season of Love" from the Broadway show, Rent, i'm digging it actually. I reckon that David Archuleta (hope the spelling is right) kid has a pretty good voice, and i cant believe he's only 16, wonder if his voice is gonna break....
I Love Parkour
Parkour is a form of sport that combines physical ability and mental toughness, using elements of gymnastic and martials arts. Its basically getting from point A to B in the fastest way possible, getting through-climbing walls-jumping off roofs and other obstacles that may stand in your way.
If you've seen movies like Casino Royale, Yamakasi or Banlieu 13, then you know what im talking about. This is the guy that started it, his name is David Belle.
For Sega Lovers Out There
I was a Sega head when i was little. I got the Sega Genesis, Saturn, and bought all the games that they produced at the time like Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter, Sonic The Hedgehog, Nights, etc. Their ability to make the best arcade games at the time was the cornerstone of their business, i remember spending tons of money in arcades playing House of the Dead, Rally, and tons of others.
It's sad to see that the once giant company is now relegated to just making games. At its heyday, Sega was rivalling Nintendo for the title of the biggest games company in the world, and they nearly won too. If it wasnt for a little company called Sony and Microsoft, with their little know console called Playstation and Xbox (hehehe).
Ironically, the rise of these home gaming machines is what cause the decline and eventually death of arcade games. How many arcades do you see these days? hardly any right? and even if you happen to find one, its probably aimed more towards your younger sister/brother.
With no more arcades, goes Sega's dominance and power, and eventually...their gaming empire crumbled and now they're left with producing games for other people...
Anyway, these are some cool shirts with Sega characters on them.

Did i just spent a long time talking about Sega, when all i wanted to talk about was the shirts??

Chalenging My Masculinity
I like to think im a man (ehem), but these are seriously cute. These are a collaboration between Tokidoki and Hello Kitty, sure to drive girls ga ga. Check them out at Tokidoki for more cute stuff.

The New Lexus LX570

Thats phat man, and like its previous incarnation its still a huge car. It cost around Rp 1,7 billion and seems to carry much improvements from the old one, which looks big from the outside but is very cramped on the inside. It was just a souped up Landcruiser really.
The interior looks ok, but not amazing, though that dashboard screen is huge. It nothing compared to...
Dang!! how huge is that???? how is the driver gonna see the back of the car??? hehehe, that shouldnt be your problem though. Man, would be cool to watch movies while youre stuck in traffic.

I Dare U To Wear This

Kanyemania has swept the world, allthough to be fair he's been rolling with heat and just cant do anything wrong these days. He's got his upcoming fashion line Pastelle (which we've been waiting for ages), and apparently a manga influenced jewelry line designed with Takashi Murakami (there's that name again).
And now his famouse sunglasses from the Stronger video are on sale.
Hmmm...i wonder if i'll be seeing these in the streets of jakarta...for sure ill get the cheap knock offs hehehe (piracy is bad kids!)
Another Murakami Collabo
The Louis Vuitton people are smart. Takashi Murakami is super hot at the moment, with his recent art exhibition in Los Angeles and New York drawing great hype and publicity.
He's also producing more stuff for LV like wallets, bags and even iPod cases (see the LV website for more cool stuff). The short animation below is a cool collabo between the company and Murakami, its cool marketing actually, instead of the usual advertising stuff you get a cool short movie.
Newcastle 3-0 Reading! Am I Dreaming???
3-0?! three wins in a row??? who would have thought? (okay, enough question and exclamation points in a sentence)
Man, we're really flying at the moment, and the 4-3-3 formation that we're using is just doing really well for our front three.
The strikers - Michael Owen, Mark Viduka, and Obafemi Martins - are just playing off each other like they've done it their whole life (i'm going into superlative mode here). But it shows, they got a goal each on Saturday.
Confidence is sky high in St James Park, yay!
Bring on Portsmouth!

Speaking Of Violence...
The news are reporting that large groups of people are beating up emo kids in Mexico, and they've even documented the act on their phones.
Some are speculating that the real reason behind the violence is that most mexicans associate the emo movement with homosexuality, due to their skinny jeans, eyeliner use and style of hair...(sigh).... How stupid can people be...
My Favorite Thing Ever

I bought my first Calvin & Hobbes collection in Borders, Melbourne, i think, and i just fell in love with them at first read. Thank you god for gifting the world C&H, its a spot of bright light in a world thats at times filled with so much violence. I'm gonna post some of my favorite strips from time to time, hopefully it'll brighten some of your day too (click on the image for a bigger pic)
I See Colours
I've been on a colour kick lately. I realized that most of what i have are different shades of gray, black or white. I got colours but most of them are "sensible" colours like dark blue, or dark green or something like that. Now i'm starting to see that the world is full of wonderfull colours hehehe all thx to this guy.
He's a japanese artist called Takashi Murakami, pioneer of the artform called Superflat (google it for more information) and recently collaborated with Kanye West for the cover of his latest cd Graduation. Even though most people dont know him, they probably have seen his collaboration with Louis Vuitton for his Murakami bags.
You've seen that right? hehehe Who hasnt?! Anyway, i've been reading much about him, and his artful combination of colours, manga, mass media imagery are just opening my eyes. I've been on a modern and minimalist kick for such a long time, that his work is just assaulting my senses and making me crave colours hehehe

Bond Villain Headquarters?

I never liked the old james bond movies, i thought they were too cheesy (invisible cars, laser watches, flying jetpacks, etc), but i loved the hell out of Casino Royale! it was realistic but different in comparison with the Jason Bourne films. Here's a sneak peek at a location that they used for the next Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.
Its an observatory in Paranal, Chile. Pretty cool looking huh?

Top 6 Most Anticipated Movies Of The Summer (No 1)
1. The Dark Knight (July 18th) – this is the movie that I want to see more than any other movies this summer season. The death of Heath Ledger is just going to make even more people come and see it, morbid curiosity I guess.
But everything in the trailer looks so goooood. I cant wait to see the Bat Pod in action, Aaron Eckhart as

Pacific Place At Night
Malls at night always gives me the creeps hehehe i dont know why, maybe i'm expecting zombies to chase after me like in Dawn Of The Dead or sumtin.
I gotta say, the architecture of Pacific Place (Jakarta's newest mall...it might not be by the time you read this post hehehe by 2050 all of Jakarta will be filled with nothing but malls) looks really cool. its curved and reminds of the sails of a ship, looks really futuristic at night.
2001: A Space Odyssey anyone?
