There's some cool watches i found at Hypebeast that clicked with my taste at the moment, and i would looooove to get these. First up is a customized service that Bamford & Sons provide for those that want their Rolex a bit different that other peoples hehehe.
That is just the coolest thing ever, but pricey and would probably cost higher than a normal Sub Mariner. Have a look at my design below, i switched it up with black background and white dials, pretty cool huh?
Next up are limited edition G-Shocks, again the aesthetics are in line with my taste right now, black and whites.

Shanghai At Night
I went to Shanghai, China, for work last week, and it was my first visit anywhere in China ever. Boy was i not dissapointed, it is an amazing city and a testament to the progress that the country has made in becoming a global force.
Everywhere you look there would be construction work going on, sometimes to improve existing facility or to make it even better. There's a Maglev train from the international airport to the city, that is an amazing thing considering the sophisticated technology it uses.
Everything was huge, the roads are huge, the rivers huge, buildings, etc. But the highlight of the trip was a walk along the Bund. The view accross the river at the Puxi side is just amazing, like something out of Blade Runner, its a shame i didn't bring a better camera to take pictures with.
all in all a good trip, i gotta make an excuse to go back sometime.

It Taste Different
Cupcakes
I'll be doing lost of posts based on my trip to Melbourne hopefully soon, as its easily one of the best city in the world and left an indelible mark on me as a person. I still call it my second home and I'll probably visit the place over the rest of my life.
To start off, something light. I tried two cupcake places during my trip, but my favorite has its shop in South Melbourne called That Little Cake Place or something like that. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with a base thats almost like brownies instead of cakes.
Movie Posters
The poster for the new Coraline movie, i've read the book and it's amazing, scary and fun at the same time. Perfect fit for the stop motion animation that they film adopted, reminiscent of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Looking forward to this one, the exact opposite of Pixar and Disney movies.
This is a fake fan made poster, but it's pretty cool nonetheless, and Megan Fox would a be a good choice for Wonder Woman!
Signed, Sealed, Delivered!
Finally, the change that is sorely needed is finally here. Barack Obama for president of the USA. Wow. I'm seriously speechless.
Just got back two days ago from a trip to Melbourne, so i haven't been able to write as much as i would have liked, but i've been keeping up with the election in the US thanks to the CNN channel in my room.
You know what's interesting to say about Obama and his win? it seems like everyone knew/felt/predicted that he was going to win, and the support that he got from almost every corner was massive. Look at the comic cover of the Savage Dragon endorsing him (see, there's a point to it), his influence has seeped into pop culture and the mass media like there's no tomorow.
It has been everyone's interest that he wins and the Democrats take over the running of America, even foreign nations have weighed in and supported him, he draws something like 200,000 people to a speech in Germany, that is remarkable.
This election has seen voter turn out jump up like it has not before, that is because so many people are invested in seeing him win that they braved the long lines and complicated process just to vote for the voice of change.
His campaign was just superb. They set out what they wanted to do from the beginning and corrected any mistakes or barbs from the Republicans with ease, look at how Obama reacted to the accusations that his relations to the controversial Reverend Wright. His speech ended any talk about the matter and redirected focus on the positives, not the negatives.
And to those that hate on the fact that a black man is now leading America, face it, Obama is the spirit of multiculturalism and it's here to stay. In fact, those people have become the minority, ironic isn't it.
Will be interesting to see what he does in his first 100 days.
