The more I listen to Drake's new album, the more I discover new favorites that i keep on heavy rotation.

The latest is the Drake and Rihanna colaboration, "Take Care", which I didn't take to after a first listen, but after a while it keeps growing on me more and more. Riri's opening lyrics is just so heartfelt, it really sounds like a person trying to convince another that it's ok to open up your heart again, coming from her it has added resonance too.

I thought Drake and Riri showed good chemistry the last time they collaborated in "Whats My Name", good to see that it wasn't a one-off, I hope they keep collaborating in the future it the result ends up like this.

Since there's no official video for the song yet (Drake, make one asap!), I'll leave you with this cover of the song by the band Florence and the Machine. Pretty darn good actually.

Bush Administration Almost Pushed Auto Industry Into Bankcrup

Read an interesting article about the Bush administration's handling of the Chrysler and GM implosion in 2008, and how they almost forced them to go into bankruptcy but decided to postpone the decision for the next administration.

If I can get past the first 3 episodes of a Korean drama, then it's usually on to something.

KSeries usually take 2-3, sometimes 4 episodes, to establish the concept and characters before getting to the meat of the story. The good ones like 1st Shop Of Coffee Prince you go along with no matter how preposterous it is, and get rewarded with an interesting storyline and pay off.

The bad ones just make you grind your teeth, literally, and reach for the off button. I'm being fair, there will always be good shows and bad shows, they can't all be good, that's just not possible.

Happy to report that Dream High is on my very short list of shows I'd recommend. My initial fear was that the show is created to capitalize on the popularity of the idols they used to populate the cast, well know names like the 2PM guys Taecyon and Wooyoung, IU and Miss A's Suzy and T-Ara's Ham Eun Jung. Glad to see that it's not the case.

A romance-drama-musical hybrid set at a FAME like art and performance school in Seoul, the story follows 6 aspiring singers each from different backgrounds navigating the treacherous waters of the music industry.
The central triangle of Go Hye Mi (Suzy) - Song Sam Dong (Kim Soo Hyun) - and Jin Gook (Teacyeon) holds up pretty well, not too sappy, but the friendly rivalry between the two male leads was distinct enough.

Who becomes an international global star at the end? and who gets Hye Mi's affection? I have to say, my initial prediction for both questions came out wrong hahaha.

I was surprised to learn that Kim Soo Hyun in particular was not a trained singer/dancer, his background came from acting, it must have been intimidating to come into a group of people that have been performing for ages and hold your own.
His relative inexperience to performing actually played out well like his character arc, his drive to improve his singing and dancing seemed really earnest, and made him able to leapfrog competitors that got lazy with praise.

IU as Pil Suk

Music is the central part of their journey, starting as rookies being outclassed in every sense of the word and emerging at the end as noteworthy musicians.
I dont know how real or exaggerated some of it was, but it was interesting to see them honing their craft, and having the teachers explain the mechanics of singing and dancing.

I thought there was some story detours that wasn't really necessary, like the sub-plot regarding Jin Gook's relationship with his father, as well as the Japan holiday, but nothing that really jolt me too much.

My favorite character though has to be Pil Suk (the very slender IU), a girl so overwhelmingly talented but insecure about her appearance that she auditioned in a sushi costume.

I'll always remember her first audition and the look on the judges face when they see the face behind the voice, and how hard it was for them to decide to take on someone they think has no commercial appeal for music industry execs.

Her loveline with Jason (played by 2PMs Wooyoung) was also cute, but her interactions with the coarse Hye Mi was the highlight for me, their joint radio interview (with some Super Junior cameo) was so funny I fell out of my seat.

So all in all, go get Dream High right now!

I like cars that are slightly left of center, not obvious choices and maybe even not good overall value, but breaks up the monotony of seeing the same cars again and again on the road. In Jakarta especially, some luxury cars like the S Class-X5-7 Series is everywhere and always in black, I wish people would use more imagination.

Enter the Infinity FX50. Coming from the luxury division of Nissan, the FX50 with it's V8 engine is more cat-like than it's competition, namely mid-level SUVs like he M Class-Toyota RX-etc. The car just screams speed, like a puma crouching before taking off after it's prey.

You have to give it to Chris Brown, anybody else probably would have crumbled with the pressure and scrutiny that was heaped upon him for the past 3 years, but CB came roaring back with a big album and (in my humble opinion) an even better mixtape in Boy In Detention.

Don't get me wrong, F.A.M.E was good, no, it was excellent! you can't turn the radio and not hear "Yeah 3x"-"Beautiful People"-"She Ain't You"- and my favorite track of 2011, "Look At Me Now".

The Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne assisted track was a monster hit, and proved that not all singers dabbling with rapping is a stupid idea (see Trey Songz for the opposite side of the coin hehehe).

Busta was just bad ass on that track, showing that he's still got that fire in him that made him such a blockbuster back in the day. He's working his album at the Cash Money collective now, hopefully we'll see more from the veteran rapper pretty soon causetheworldismissingthatxfactorthathehas(deeeeep breeeaaathhhh).

But Boy In Detention takes it to another level.

I downloaded the mixtape with very, very, very low expectations. Damn was I surprised, it's been in my regular rotation and can't stop playing it ever since. You get to see a very different side to CB that you don't normally see, probably freed from the restrictions of studio album.

The latest viral video is for the song "Strip", just a fun video with lots of girls in it, but you can see the fun that CB is having nowadays sitting on the top again. Setting aside his personal problems, Its just nice to see his enormous talent put to making music and entertaining us again.

Wanna get a dog someday, I think i'm responsible enough to care for it now and will be able to properly cater to its needs. Huge fan of Cesar "Dog Whisperer" Millan, dog psychology is such an interesting subject, working with mother nature instead of against it.

Easy to say but hard to put in practice right? that's why life is interesting hehehe.

After some research, a couple of breeds stands out for me. I remember Cesar Millan saying that they type of dogs adopted should match the personality of its owner, so active dogs-active owners and etc, otherwise if it doesn't get enough exercise or space or attention its going to turn destructive. Which makes sense.

The newest addition to the Bentley line up out in 2015 is their SUV edition. This thing is...just a stretched out Continental GT. It's just wrong, i'm entitled to my opinion so it's my two cents. Not even a 6.0 Litre V12 engine is going to entice me to even consider a good buy, though i'm sure there are plenty of rappers out there thats gonna put a downpayment for it now.

The undisputed breakout artist of the year, I know the video has been out for a while but damn if it isn't impressive and worth posting again.

The Tipping Point for the girls, it's rare when every single aspect of an album launch goes perfectly together, but everything from the song-dance-costume-etc here works and works damn well. This is about as close to Western production value as I've ever seen come out of Asia, that "Knock Out" - GD & T.O.P video was good too actually.

SNSD is pretty much reaching saturation point at the moment, you can see the girls everywhere from variety shows to CFs, so people are probably getting sick of them hahaha. But that's ok, thats just the smell of success, and success smells sweet.

People always look at me funny when I say I love SNSD (Girl's Generation), but I DONT CARE hahaha.

These girls are talented no matter what people's prejudice against girl groups are, just take a look at the video below, and tell me they can't sing and dance better than most acts in the States and Europe. You have to give credit where credit is due, they trained since they were 15 in singing and dancing and it really shows.

Plus, they behave much better than most stars out there. I've always been concerned that in this age of Kardashians/BritneySpears/MileyCyrus/etc, we're sending the message to younger kids thats its ok to act like them (I can't believe I'm becoming socially conscious hehehe).

It's nice to be able to show positive role models like the SNSD girls, well, so far at least hahaha. No bongs and crotch shots so far, but you never know whats gonna happen.

I think it probably helps coming from an asian country as well, where we always prioritize the community more than individuality in a sense. Its not a criticism of western culture, almost all of my favorite stars are from the States for example, its just different.

Drake - "Take Care"

If 2010's Thank Me Later was "Star Wars", then its follow up Take Care is "Empire Strikes Back".

When "Marvin's Room" was released, my immediate reaction was Drake took it to another level. That song was an instant classic, and the many remixes that can be found on the web shows that it hit that zeitgeist - the sweet spot - where everyone was riding on it.

Wanna know what the rest of the album sounds like? not too far from Marvins Room actually. Drake talked about having his engineer, Noah "40" Sheib, making sure there's a consistent sound or through line for all the songs, and that's really evident here no matter who produced what song.

The downside? everything kinda sounds the same. Its not a bad thing I guess cause it maintains a kind of thematic consistency, but I've always liked musicians being able to show different sides of their repertoire, riding on different beats and styles. Not saying Drake can't do that, he might do it per album instead of per songs, so we'll see.

I'm loving Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a The Weeknd, splashing his falseto all over the album. Like most people, Drake turned me on to his work, both sides definitely complement each other. Cameos from Nikki Minaj-Lil Wayne-Andre 3000 and others also worked well, but Drake keeps it light and maintains the responsibility of carrying the bulk of the album.

Do I like it better than Thank Me Later? hmmm....., I gotta think about that some more.

Review - Moneyball

I just saw Moneyball. Twice.

That's how much I like the movie.

I don't know if the real life Billy Beane (General Manager of the Oakland Athletics and co-inventor of the Moneyball principle) is that cool, but Brad Pitt is cool incarnate.

Not even gonna bother with a recap of what the movie is about, you can get that from Wikipedia, but I gotta warn you that there might be potential spoilers for those that haven't seen the movie.

There's so many moments in the movie that I love. The meetings with the team Scouts ("Who's Fabio???")-the firing scene with Jonah Hill-Brad with Jonah Hill-Brad in everything.

He's in probably every second of the movie, and not one act or word is wasted. Owning and chewing every scenery like it was his last meal.

Probably feeling no longer burdened with roles that has to play up the "i'm-sexiest-man-alive" factor, the guy gets better with age, you see his charm and torment on his sleeve all there for you to see.

Beane's pain at recognizing at an early age that he wasn't cut out to be a big league ball-player is there, leading to the line that crystalizes what to me the movie is about - "adapt or die". The sabermetric analytical approach Beane created with Peter Brand is done to rail against the system, leveling the playing field for less fortunate teams.

I'm surprised at how much humour is in the movie, Jonah Hill is the comedian and Brad Pitt is the funniest guy in the movie, what the hell is wrong with this picture???

There's also the excellent Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Manager Art Howe, don't worry if you miss it, the guy always disappears in his roles.

I wish the movie was 4 hours long, there was so much that could have been explored as the movie's main throughline is Beane and Brand. I would have loved to see more of the Manager and the players, i thought they pulled their own weight in the movie.

Anyway, go see the little movie that could. Twice.

Maserati GranTurismo S Limited Edition

Love the matte black look that a bunch of cars been doing lately, the Dodge Challengers in Fast Five recently comes to mind. But matte blue is definitely something special, not an obvious thought but damn it looks good.

I love what Maserati has been doing with their cars, i've been admiring the Quattroporte for a while now and I think its just one of the best luxury sedans out there. It might not have the luxury and comfort that German cars offer, or the gadgets that Japanese cars offer, but its a quirky car that I just happen to love.

By far, the Bose Noise Canceling headphones are the best, I tried them on planes and its like the external noise is not even there. But, they come at a very steeep price.

5 Signs That This One Isn’t “The One”

1. Your intuition is trying to get your attention.

If you are getting signs or feelings that maybe this isn’t the right relationship for you, it’s probably not. The worst action you can take is to slough off the signs and not give them the credence they warrant.

Signs can range from voices in your head (no you aren’t schizophrenic, it’s your intuition talking!), to feelings in your gut like anxiety and dread or just a sixth sense (you shouldn't be nervous on your wedding day, excited yes, full of anxiety no), to visual cues like dreams and visions.

Intuition is your best friend and it never lies. So many people could have saved themselves a lot of suffering if they would have just listened to what their intuition was telling them all along.

2. You’ve bought into The Blip Effect.

You get excited about the slightest degree of change in your guy or girl, believing the big change is just around the corner. You use that blip to carry you through the following months when you wait … and wait… and wait for the big change to come.

Best case, they stay at the same place the minor blip moved them to. Worst case, they revert back to the way they were. Usually, they land somewhere in between but always you are left to call on your reserves of hope that one day this person will be the partner you want. He or she hardly ever is.

You are on a roller coaster – the Blip Effect – using the highs to sustain yourself, forgetting how crappy you feel the rest of the time. This is not a ride you want to be on.

3. You talk more about him or her and your relationship than you do about your own life and dreams.

People who have great relationships don’t spend very much time talking about them to others. They talk about their lives and their partners, yes, but there is nothing really to say about the relationship, because it works.

People in unhappy or mediocre relationships complain, analyze, and seek input on their relationship and their partner from others all the time. They spend more time talking about their mate – what he’s doing, what she’s not – than they do on sharing themselves and their own lives.

4. Your Happiness Gauge says so.

One of the most telling questions you can ask yourself is, “Am I happy?” It’s really simple to answer, yes or no, and it’s hard to lie. If your answer is No or if it goes something like, “Well, sometimes, but then other times, blah blah blah…” something is up with your choice in a mate.

If you are not happy, you owe it to yourself to take three actions:

Determine what you really want from your life.
Determine what you really want from a partner.
Tell your partner what you want first for your life, then from a partner, and then ask “Can you and will you be that partner?” They will tell you the truth. It’s your job to listen.

5. You’re fights are not fair.

Yes, all couples fight, but if your fights are of the dramatic and hurtful type, no matter how much your heart says you love ‘him’ or ‘her’ your heart has to love you more. Unfortunately, we can still love someone and be in an abusive or toxic relationship, and verbal, emotional and mental abuse counts. You have to respect yourself enough to demand respect from your partner.

And, if you aren’t getting that respect, or giving that respect back, there’s something unhealthy going on. You have two choices – fix it with therapy and counseling – together and separate – or end the relationship.

I've downloaded the new Blackberry Messenger 5.0 and am loving it, most Blackberry owners have been clamoring for an update to bbm for such a long time and now its finally here.

Crackberry has a comprehensive breakdown of the newest update on their website here, explaining the basic features other new ones as well. They're even doing a stress test and testing how many contacts they can add to their bbm, last update has it at 10,000! thats a bit extreme but unbelievable how it can cope with that many contacts (check out the story here)

Love the Blackberry group option, haven't optimized its use yet, but it looks a keeper. And we get to send messages to more than one people at the same time now! check out the new broadcast message option, thats like a no brainer and something RIM just introduced. They have that option in the old Nokias I used to have, it's good bbm has that function as well, before we had to cut and paste to the contacts I want to send it to.

Anyway, a good addition and long awaited indeed.

Whoa, just look at that line up, how the hell did Drake managed to convince all those people, especially the reclusive Eminem, to appear on a possee cut??? this is a classic in my opinion. Everyone looks and sounds sharp, props to director Hype Williams as well,

I think everyone held up their end on this song, with Drake doing double duty opening and singing the hook as well. There's some great lines here and Drake didn't dissapoint with his opening statement:

Kanye did that introspective thing on his turn, I don't know whether this was before or after that whole Taylor Swift debacle, but his last line was indicative of his legendary volatility.

Then Weezy did his thing! his usual laid back self and dropping some lyrical gems without breaking too much sweat ( i even adopted it for the blog, see above):

But I have to admit, Slim Shady probably came out on top on this one. His machine gun flow and inventive words are just top notch, you have to respect the artistry and skill it takes man. Anyway, watch the clip and see 3 legendary rappers people will remember forever, and 1 legend in the making (not dissing Drake, but give him time to earn it)

I was watching the Hangover recently, thought it was a so-so movie, I didn't think it was superduper funny or anything. Not even Anchorman or American Pie funny, but one scene did stand out hehehe, the wedding scene! if you've seen it you know what I mean.

I remember seeing those guys somewhere, so I dug around the internet and found out that they're actually a comedy troupe called The Dan Band. I checked out their past work sure enough, they were in a number of movies I've seen and stole the show again.

UP Review

I've been complaining about movies getting more and more bloated with expensive special effects but no story (I'm looking at you Transformers 2), some so mind numbingly bad that I needed something to cleanse the pallete a bit. Like having sorbet after a meal, just to get rid of that bad after taste.

What I did was i've been watching some Miyazaki movies lately like "Spirited Away" and "Princess Mononoke". Their elegance and minimalism (compared to American movies anyway) just brings you back to focus on characters and the wonderfull character designs, it's a just a breath of fresh air.

Nothing is conventional in Miyazaki's world, but the awe that his child protagonists display as they explore unknown worlds is exactly what my generation lacks. We're jaded, we've seen it all, nothing surprises us anymore.

And yet, what surprised me the most this summer is a gentle story about a 78 year old man, a little boy and, oh, a floating house.

I've read so much about how this movie was going to be a big financial disaster for Pixar/Disney, how uncommercial it is, how they got too idealistic and too big for their boots. Well, that movie opened to US$68 million and has grossed around US$380 million around the world and counting.

Wow, you CAN have your cake and eat it too hahaha. But I can see how some people got nervous, there's no characters you can base toys around and I doubt they'll make a sequel, It's perfect as it is even if there's no future adventures.

It is about as far away from Wall-E as you can get, and yet it still gives you some of the most beautifull images that i've seen in animation. The marriage sequence, Paradise Falls, I can go on and on. It's also probably the most adult Pixar movie yet, with themes like death-dreams and obsession. The final image of Carl's house floating away through the clouds and him remarking that it's just a house...it's just sublime.

Sometime the biggest adventures in life is about the things you didn't think was exciting, exactly like this movie (man, you had to drag me to the theater at first).

Harry Potter - Half Blood Prince Review (Spoilers)

Just saw it last night at Blitz Megaplex Pacific Place, nothing better than watching a movie stretched out on a bed with blankets hehehe, thank you (movie) god for inventing the Velvet Class.

I'm reminded again why I still don't get the whole Twilight phenomena, I'm not hating on it or anything (I guess), but the Potter series is just leaps and bounds ahead. For starters, the books are actually good, JK Rowling is an extraordinary writer and the details an characterization she packs into it is just amazing.

I remember I got into Potter cause I heard a rumour that Steven Spielberg was going to direct the first one back in 2001, since he's my favorite director of all time, I decided to go to Borders and pick up the first copy. I was quite embarassed to hand it to the cashier lady since it's a "childrens" book, but I read it that night-got hooked-and came back the next day to pick up all the other books.

The Potter books have always contained a fair bit of darkness in them, the hero is an orphan whose parents was killed by a Hitler like villain for god's sake, but its safe to say that the Potter books become more edgy and mature with later entries. That switch in tone was none more evident than in the last two entries before hand, where two characters - Cedric Diggory & Sirius Black - died in front of Harry.

Which brings us to Deathly Hallows, beware of spoilers cause I'm going to talk about some important parts of the movie so if you haven't seen it better back up. I'm not gonna go into story details cause you're better off watching the movie or reading the books, but for some reason I really like this one, congrats to the director David Yates.

The threat of Voldemort is now out in the open and war is brewing between the two sides, people are mysteriously dissapearing and Hogwarts is no longer the safest place to be. Harry and friends returned to school with great hesitation, dodging new teachers and curses while trying to get to grips with new feelings for one another.

There's criticism that Hallows is not as exciting as previous movies, but I disagree, the emotional fireworks here make up for the lack of big bangs.I was decidedly turned off by the recent Transformers sequel, so to have a blockbuster movie focusing instead on characters and story is quite refreshing.

The kids coming of age is very much the focal point of the movie, some of it at the comedic expense of best friend Ron (the excellent Rupert Grint). Ron and Hermione (Emma Watson is just cute as a button) is a true love/hate relationship, there's a lot more romance this time around and Harry is not left out at all.

In fact, the most surprising arc for me was his love interest Ginny Weasley, played by Bonnie Wright, who grew from that annoying little sister of your best friend - to that girl that you didn't know you have a crush on and was under your nose all the time (come on, everyone has that story).

Their shared scene in the magical Room of Requirements was probably the sweetest scene of the series, a culmination of feelings that grew from one scene to another and executed perfectly by the actors.

Tom Felton, the young actor playing Draco Malfoy, should also get points for his biggest role yet in the Potter films. You see a young boy breaking down with the pressure of living up to expectations, to watch a a young boy dying inside and taking the wrong path against his will is just heartbreaking.

The music-set design-flashbacks-everything worked for me this time around, though it didn't have as much action as the other films, the emotional pay off was there. The final scenes at the Cave and Astronomy Tower was pitch perfect, the muted colour tones and score enhancing the feeling of dread that we all know was going to come.

The film has also never looked better too, the landscape of Scotland stood in for Hogwarts and it is breathtaking. When Harry said "I never realized how beautifull this place is", you quitely agree with him.

So if you're a big Potter nut, go see the film! run!

I loved the first one, they really hit the ball out of the park and I hope they continue that streak with this one. I'm digging Mickey Rourke's and Scarlett's look, comic booky but realistic at the same time. The tone of Iron Man (and Batman too) is based on realism, so you have to believe that these people can exist and the science behind it is workable.

That's what makes it hard to integrate Iron Man with the other Marvel movies, rampaging green giants? man bitten by spiders?? It'll be interesting just to see how they do it in the upcoming Avengers movie.

I've been purposely avoiding any news about the movie cause I want to go in fresh, nothing spoiled (which is the whole purpose of the internet these days), hopefully it wont dissapoint me like another recent film about giant robots...

Power and fuel saving, excellent combination and not words that usually go together. Tuning house Techart took the Porsche Cayenne Diesel and did the works, exterior-interior and even massaged the engine. Some of the bodywork is a bit extreme for my taste, but that white on white combo is quite nice.

Silver BB Curve?

Crackberry is reporting on the rumour that a white/silver Blackberry Curve might be available soon, which is something that is sorely needed for the current line up in my opinion. My only criticisim of the Blackberrys is that they all look the same now, there is no major visual difference between the Bold and the Curve, and even the Storm is like a Bold without keypads.

The old Curve used to be the fun BB, the one that came in all sorts of colour and could be customized to your liking. The newest one isn't at all like that so I'm hoping RIM rectifies that problem soon.

There's been a lot of hype about Drake lately, which kinda peaked my curiosity so I took a listen to his breakthrough monster single "Best I Ever Had" and...I kinda liked it. It's not best thing ever or anything like that, but it's decent and catchy.

"Best I ever haddd/best I ever hadddd" hehehe, very catchy hooks with a little help from autotune (he even sounds a little bit like Lil Wayne). Is he overhyped? hmmm...only Drake can answer that, let's see that album homie.

Transformers 2 Review (Spoilers)

Clearly, Michael Bay is not Steven Spielberg (or James Cameron or Sam Raimi or Peter Jackson-the list goes on and on and on).

The list of directors I just mentioned has the ability to blend story with spectacle, having character we actually care about facing extraordinary circumstances numerous times, but we didn't mind. Genetically engineered dinosaurs? check, robots from the future? check, elves vs. orcs vs. goblins vs. whatever? check. It's almost like conducting a symphony, the parts have to be balanced in order not to overwhelm each other.

I know he's not making Shakespeare here, but at least the first one or Bad Boys 2 had some semblance of a story in it...somewhere...this one is just confusing. You need a guide to understand what the hell is going on, I've seen it twice now and it still didn't make any sense!

I read somewhere that there's actually 45 robot characters in this one, but besides the major characters like Optimus and Bumblebee, I couldn't tell them apart. Not even Megatron, the major bad guy, he had minions that looked like him and they're jumping all over the place and I can't tell who lives and who died.

This might be because the robots are too detailed, it looks cool when they stand still but once they start moving it becomes hard to keep track. The colour also play a huge part in recognition, Optimus and Bumblebee stand out but the others are just the same grey colour (not helpfull).

To me this time around, the humans seem more interesting than the robots. Shia was funny, his roommate Leo and Agent Simmons was funny, and Megan Fox is...reliably hot. They break up the robot on robot mayhem nicely, in between the non stop running from large explosions that is hahaha.

Best Line #1:
College Guy 1 - "Is that your car? where you going freshman?!"
Sam - "I'm going to get you a tighter shirt"
College Guy 2 - "There is no tighter shirt, we looked" (fist bump)

There's some really stupid ideas explored too like the human decepticon (Isabel Lucas), how the hell do robots replicate human skin??? definitely an idea best left to the Terminator franchise.

The Autobot twins too, I've seen so much negative response against them on the net that I can't believe someone somewhere was stupid enough to even think that they were a good idea (I think it's Michael Bay's fault, even the writers of the movie are dodging that bullet and blaming him). You have robots farting, talking shit, humping legs (seriously), the list just goes on and on.

Best Line #2:
Agent Simmons - "I am standing directly beneath the enemy's...scrotum"

You really, really need to switch off your brain with this one, just have to enjoy it at face value. The hype is amazing though, look at the line of people waiting to see it:

Tried the new Marche concept restaurant at Plaza Senayan a couple of days ago, and came out feeling...meh. There's huge buzz about it at the moment, though I tend to think that it's because people tend to flock to new places, not because it's necessarily good hehehe.

The winning element at Marche is really just the choices, there's so many of it and its freshly made in front of you, but it doesnt for the taste (or lack thereof). Tried the cheese quesadilla and bbq wings and was dissapointed both times.

The Last Airbender Trailer

Big fan of the series, the mixture of eastern and wester influence is amazingly spot on, creating a story that can be enjoyed not only by children but adults alike. The story is epic and absolutely transferable to the big screen at the hand of the right script and director, but is that person M. Night Shyamalan???

I didn't like his last three films very much (The Happening, The Lady In The Water and The Village), and this is sooooo different to anything that i've seen him do so far, which are intimate and claustrophobic movies.

So will he ruin Aang's story for me? I guess we have to wait until next year when it comes out to find out. Meanwhile, check out the trailer below, the cast looks good so far. Dev Patel was amazing in Slumdog Millionaire.

Love Shia LaBeouf, don't care what anybody says, I think he's talented and pretty much underrated. On that note, I also love Transformers, played with it as a kid and will pretty much watch the new movie again and again and again. But Shia's comedic timing is just not appreciated much, and I think it's one of his main strengths as an actor, take a look at him singing the cheesy theme song of the cartoon.

UPDATE - apparently it moves too, check out the video below. Some people are saying that new movements will be shown every week or day or something. Interesting, cause I thought it was going to be a stationary statue.

Terminal 3

Took a friend to the Soekarno-Hatta airport recently and got a chance to visit the new Terminal 3, took some pictures to compare with Terminal 1 (domestic) & 2 (international). I was pleasantly surprised to be honest, Terminal 3 was supposed to lighten the domestic load of Terminal 1, and to be honest...that place is a s**t hole.

The design reminds me of Gatwick actually, with the sloping arched roof and white everywhere. It even has air conditioning hehehe somewhat of a luxury in Indonesian airports I tell ya.
